Our Pastor

Dr. Steven Dale Beckham and his bride, Lora Williams Beckham, reside

in Prairieville, LA. Dr. Beckham is the Senior Pastor of the historic First

Community Antioch Baptist Church in Lutcher, Louisiana. He is a graduate of

Louisiana State University, Baton Rouge, Louisiana, where he earned a Bachelor

of Science degree. He later earned master’s and doctoral degrees from the New

Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary in New Orleans, Louisiana.

Dr. Beckham serves as both the President of his local state and the Southwest

Regional Director for the National African American Fellowship. He serves as

Mission Strategist for The Baptist Association of Greater Baton Rouge and served

as a former member of the Board of Trustees for Louisiana Christian

University. He is a lover of children, loves people, and believes that every true

believer should share their faith, as well as share the love of God with others. He

strongly believes that God equips every believer with a spiritual gift. This gift

prepares the believer to serve and gifts the body of Christ with what’s needed to

function at a high level. He is a strong proponent of Christian Education and

believes it is essential to the health of God’s church. He also enjoys spending time

with his family, church family, and friends. In his leisure time, he enjoys reading,

sports, good food, and fishing.
